My Hobbies include drawing, videogames, Rachel, anime, playing guitar, hanging out with friends, writing poetry/songs, god, and theology. I am a very deep person, or so I have been told. In the summer, I like to walk to an area of the woods behind my house, and lay in the soft grass while watching the clouds blow over. I really like Thunderstoms, and my favorite look any of the seasons have to offer is when all the tree's are frozen with ice. In the winter, I like snowbaording, spring I like to hike, and summer being out in the sun at the lake with my friends. We go to this place known as the oval and have parties. I didn't say fall because i hate fall. I hate death. Fall is ugly after the leaves go, and everything is dead. Even the air. I hide during this time. My goals are to become a Web Designer and GraphX Artist. I want to one day publish my own comic and productions site. Sunday, August 29, 2004 [eM] and the Big City
Listening to: Float On by Modest Mouse Well, Thursday morning I woke up at 5:15, and that really meant I only got 2 1/2 hours of sleep. We left at 5:40, ten minutes late due to me oversleeping 15 mintues. The train ride was a bit like a boat at sea. It kept swaying back and forth. To my left I had this very loud and opinionated women, if you would even call her that. I will never understand how people can drink beer at 8 am, let alone, at all. But this women did... Her hair looked like it nested various forest creatures. She had about as many teeth as a jack o lantern and ended up calling the ticket collecter mam just before slapping his butt and telling him he had a "cute bootey" In front of us we had two gay men. I believe they were heading to Chicago as well because I overheard one say fashion and "Institute of Art". Oh yay... The freak lady that reminded me a lot of ms. crabtree from south park, seen me drawing. She asked to see my work and she flipped through my comics. They reminded her of Beavis and Butthead. Go figure. Other people started looking at my work and I was the talk of the train. ^_^ Everyone said I was very impressive. woot! We arrived at the border of Chicago at about 11:33 (Shelby time). After finding our hotel, and dropping off that horrible luggage, we bought our 3 day passes on the bus/train system. We took the train to the Museum. The Museum was huge as I remembered it to be. Last time I was there they were cleaning up a t-rex that was discovered and putting it together. Her name was Sue. This time, she was all constructed and set up in the main lobby. Her skull was located elsewhere in the museum because it weighed 600 lbs. I really enjoyed the Egyption and Stone exihibit also. I wish I would've brought a camera. When we left, I bought mom and I some icecream. The weather was really hot and muggy. We headed back to our hotel room and went swimming at the pool. Even the fricken pool hall was warm. We spent maybe 20 minutes there, went back and got dressed. I always wanted to have deep dish pizza from Chicago. I don't remember the name of the place we ate at because frankly, it wasn't worth remembering. That night, I fell asleep instantly. Well after I forced myself to stay awake to watch a special on why US citizens are over weight. Pop. One can is more sugar then you are supposed to have in one day. I also learned 3000 calories turns into 1 lb. Amazing. Mom says shortly after I was passed out. I even slept through a thunderstorm that high up. Darn. Saturday morning, I woke up and showered. I was horribly stressed that day. I fumbled my papers, and to make everything worse I don't have the loan money I need to even afford a home down there, AND I need a tetinus shot. *cries* I hate needles. I am affraid of them. My body does one of those cold shivers when I even think about one. During this entire day, I met some really cool people. Katie and Abbey were two girls sitting in front of me on the housing tour. Abbey is studying the same thing I am. Katie is studying video production. That day I pretty much spent a lot of time with them and a guy named Kevin. He was pretty cool. We decided to put each other down as roomates. No gaurantee we will though. We all went and had lunch together afterwords in the food court (my school has an arbies right up stairs.... along with chinese, and a mcdonalds...AWESOME!) Registration was a pain in the ass. I sat in line for a good 2 hours. While waiting, Katie came up and stood with me. She gave me her phone number and Abbey's phone number on a piece of paper. She said we should meet up in a month when school starts and all hang out. While waiting in line, I was pulled with a few other students to a different area for registration cause the line was so long. While waiting in this new area, I met a karean girl whose middle name was Christina. Everyone called her that because he first and last names are harder then hell to prenounce. Then I met a guy named Dave who looks EXACTLY like Jay from Jay and Silent Bob. Even mom thought so. Thing we all had in common? Videogames, cartoons and classes. I can't wait to see those two again. After registration mom and I walked the halls of one of my campuses. While walking around we came accross Dave and his Dad. For a short while, Dave and I pretended we were Final Fantasy III characters lost in a cave with no weapons and the only item we had in my backback was some paper, and an energy drink (which was a potion that restored 200 hp and took away the status "stress") Yeah, he will be my college nerd friend for sure. Him and Christina have the same classes as me ^_^. After we got back to the hotel room, we decided to head to the park accross the city and watch the symphoney orchestra. That was awesome. The music there sounded like Final Fantasy Music. On the way back to the train we came accross the coolest thing ever. A black man who painted himself silver and did the robot to Micheal Jackson for cash. I really wanted to get my picture doing the robot next to him but something told me I shouldn't. I don't know if robots have short fuses (drum tap - BAAAAAADA CHING!) I slept for about 9 1/2 hours that night. Not before watching T-3. I woke up the next morning and packed and than went and bought Dunken Donuts for breakfast. Afterwords we carried our junk to the train station and halfway there I made a discovery. I am still cursed. I left my sun glasses in the room. I told myself "Pick up the sun glasses so you don't forget them..." and what did I do? I opened the drawer to see if they had a cool bible stashed away in the night stand. *slaps forehead* Maybe I really am an idiot like Molly claims me to be... :-( After dropping our bags off in one of those cool luggage holders that require a finger print verification to open, mom and I went to the other campus to take a look. I love that school. They have a video editing room with a green screen...oh... I am going to have so much fin with that. >,< I bought us Subway for lunch and we went back and sat at the train station for 4 hours. Ugh... BORING. I played Pokemon Gold.... I was that bored. We finally borded the train. On the ride back I met a couple really cool kids. They were freshman in high school. I thought originally they were older. One was a kid named Scott. He was reading the Da Vinci code and his sister was hot. Then there was Kelley. Not the thing my brother is dating but probably the hottest punkess I have ever seen. Thought she was 18 but she was like 14 or 15. We ended up hanging out for the next 4 hours and that made time go by really fast. Better then the way down with the nasty hag next to me and a gay sitcom in front of me. We all exchanged AIM names and they got of at Holland. The trip was awesome. I had an excellent time. Anyways, I am exhausted from work today. So I am going to retire now. Night! Blogged by Marcus Morris at 8:25 PM
